Alliance Bank offers Assistance and Moratorium to Customers affected by Floods

Customers may apply to reschedule or restructure their financial commitments for up to 6 months

Kuala Lumpur, 10 November 2017 – To ease the burden of its customers affected by the recent floods in the northern states, Alliance Bank Malaysia Berhad (“Alliance Bank” or “the Bank”) will assist these customers by reducing their financial obligations for up to 6 months.

This will include modifications in their monthly loan payments, moratoriums and waivers of late charges and interest across its portfolio of products and services for its consumer, small and medium enterprises (SME) and corporate clients.

Affected customers may request for this assistance at any of the Bank’s Penang and Kedah branches, or contact their Relationship Managers directly. All requests for assistance will be assessed by the Bank on a case-by-case basis.

Additionally, the Bank will also work closely with Bank Negara Malaysia and Credit Guarantee Corporation Malaysia Berhad to participate in the RM500 million disaster relief facility which was set up to assist and support the operations of affected SMEs.

Alliance Bank has eight branches in Penang and Kedah, which collectively serve 100,000 customers.
