Tejpal Singh Hora
Head of Risk Management
Prior to joining FFH, Mr Hora was with Citigroup where he spent more than three decades of his career. Joining Citibank as a Management Trainee in India, Mr Hora quickly rose through the ranks, and has held senior management positions in various businesses in different countries such as India, Fiji, Canada, Qatar, the Gulf Region, Saudi Arabia, Singapore and Hong Kong where he headed both business and support functions. He was business head for the Corporate Bank in Fiji, and in Qatar before he was appointed Deputy Regional Credit Head for the Gulf based in Dubai. Mr Hora spent the last 16 years of his career in Citibank in the Risk Management function – first as the Chief Credit Officer for Samba, Citibank's affiliate in Saudi Arabia. Thereafter he moved to Asia where he was the Chief Regional Credit Officer for the Corporate and Investment Bank in Asia Pacific for 7 years based out of Singapore and Hong Kong before moving to Citibank Private Banking Group as the Chief Regional Credit Officer for Asia Pacific. He joined FFH in October 2003 when he took over as the Integrated Risk Head for Bank Danamon which had newly been acquired by FFH. Under his leadership, Bank Danamon successfully transformed the Risk Management function to bring it to best in class standards comparable to international banks.
Mr Hora is a seasoned professional with all round risk management expertise across different risk areas such as credit risk, market risk, liquidity risk and operational risk.
Mr Hora holds an MBA from the Indian Institute of Management (India) and a Bachelor's degree from the University of Delhi (India) majoring in the sciences.
